  • Class Description (text from TranquilSpace.com): This class incorporates both yin yoga and yang (or active) yoga. Yin yoga focuses on passive asanas with breath work and meditation to create a very deep, integrated and satisfying practice. Complementary to active vinyasa, yin yoga targets the deep, dense connective tissues of the body — the tendons, ligaments and cartilage — which are difficult to energize and open. The yin postures focus on the hips, pelvis, lower back, and knees, helping the body remain supple at its core. The yin portion of the class is followed by a more active yang portion. Suitable for anyone interested in taking his or her practice to a renewed level of awareness and stillness, both inside and out. Appropriate for all levels.
